The Difference Between Sin, Transgression, and Torahlessness

A “transgression”, which correspond to the Greek words “parabasis” or “paraptóma”, or the Hebrew words “maal” or “pesha”, is disobedience to any command issued by God, whether within the Torah of Moses or outside the Torah of Moses, which have been issued through the men of heaven, which are angels of God and the Messiah, who are sons and representations of God, or also issued through the men of the earth, which are prophets of God, who are the anointed of God, and disobedience to any command issued by these was therefore a “transgression” against God, which is why the commands given by angels of God to Moses, which became the Torah of Moses, was binding, and disobedience to those commands was “transgression” against God, and even the command given by a prophet of God to a certain man, “strike me please”, which the man refused to do is another example of a “transgression” against a command of God, and even Saul did not completely obey what the prophet Samuel commanded him, which was another example of a “transgression” against God,

He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us.

Acts 7:38

you who have received the Torah that was given through angels but have not obeyed it.

Acts 7:53

For since the message spoken through angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,

Hebrews 2:2

By the word of the Master one of the company of the prophets said to his companion, “Strike me please,” but he refused. So the prophet said, “Because you have not obeyed the Master, as soon as you leave me a lion will kill you.” And after the man went away, a lion found him and killed him.

1 Kings 20:35-36

Then go down before me to Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer ascending offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do.

1 Samuel 10:8

He waited seven days, the time appointed by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from him. So Saul said, “Bring the ascending offering here to me, and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering. As soon as he had finished offering the ascending offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him. Samuel said, “What have you done?” And Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines had mustered at Michmash, I said, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the favor of the Master.’ So I felt compelled, and offered the burnt offering.” And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the Master your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Master would have established your kingdom over Israel aeonially. But now your kingdom shall not continue. the Master has sought out a man after his own heart, and the Master has commanded him to be prince over his people, because you have not kept what the Master commanded you.”

1 Samuel 13:8-14

So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Master, because of the word of the Master which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium, making inquiry of it

1 Chronicles 10:13

And the first command issued to man by God was “you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil”, and when man disobeyed the command, he “transgressed” against God,

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

Genesis 2:17

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.

Genesis 3:6

And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression.

1 Timothy 2:14

And through the transgression man also “sinned”, which is the Hebrew word “chata”, or Greek word “hamartia”, which means to “miss” an intended target, which is why the same Hebrew word for “sin” is used in this passage in relation to men who were slinging stones to hit an intended target,

Among all these soldiers there were seven hundred select troops who were left-handed, each of whom could sling a stone at a hair and not miss.

Judges 20:16

And by missing the intended target, which was the command of God, “you shall not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil”, man not only became subjected to death, but also to sin, inwardly, for sin in the inward man became the thoughts that randomly emerge in the heart to do evil, which then lead men to do evil and are the cause of the evil actions of man, and this slavery to sin is passed down from Adam unto all men from conception, which is why everyone eventually sins, and when Cain murdered his brother Abel because of jealousy, it was sin in his inward man that brought forth the evil thought to murder his brother, which then lead to the sin of murder against his brother, and that is why Cain was told, “sin is crouching at your door, its desire is for you, but you must rule over it”,

…sin is crouching at your door, its desire is for you, but you must rule over it. Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.

Genesis 4:7-8

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do good, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

Romans 7:18-20

…and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalm 51:5

Yeshuah answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

John 8:34

And thus, through the sin man become enslaved to, man also missed the intended target and fell short of what he was made to be, the “representation of God”, which is the glory of God in creation, which is why after Adam man eventually gave themselves over to various other sins aside from the sin of murder Cain committed, such as Sodom and Gomorrah, who gave themselves over to the sin of homosexuality, which is not only sin against God, but also sin against their own bodies, for men laying with men misses the intended target of the union that God established between a man and a woman, which is why biologically this union produces offspring, for God made the body of the woman as the sexual counterpart for the body of the man, and that is what is “natural”, and thus the sin of homosexuality is an error that goes against “nature”,

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 3:23

For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man.

1 Corinthians 11:7

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin, whatever if a man might do, is outside the body, but the one sinning sexually sins against the own body.

1 Corinthians 6:18

and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Romans 1:27

Now the men of Sodom were evil, great sinners against the Master.

Genesis 13:13

And when the Torah was given to Moses, God revealed what sin is through its commands, which is why the Torah of Moses is the “knowledge of sin” and also the “knowledge of good and evil”, and thus, sin is “torahlessness”, for sin also became “transgression” of the Torah, for where there is no command there cannot be transgression, and if there is no transgression then there cannot be a charge for transgression, although sin still existed before Moses, which is why the Torah was given, so that there may be reason for punishment for sin for transgressing the commands of the Torah that define sin, for the Torah merely brought knowledge of sin, and rather than bring life, for the commands of the Torah are good and righteous and set-apart, the Torah brought death, for in an example of a transgression the Torah commanded, “if a man commits adultery, you shall put him to death”, which is why the Torah is a “law of sin and death”, for all were still slaves to sin when the Torah of Moses was given, which yielded death not only after Moses but also before Moses, but not the first death where the dead sleep that all men ordinarily endure, even the Messiah who never sinned, for the soul continues to exist, but the true death, the death in the lake of lava that brings destruction of both body and soul, meaning the cessation of existence of the soul, for although the written Torah had not yet been given through Moses, by which the nation of Israel brought charges against those who transgressed it and stoned sinners to death, the oral Torah already existed since Adam, for the “knowledge of good and evil” he received was knowledge of Torah that was passed down to generations after him, which is why there were righteous men like Abel and Enoch and Noah and Lot who knew what sin was, and in this way, those before Moses, who had the oral Torah, and those after Moses, who had the written Torah, will all be resurrected from the sleep of the first death, from Adam until the last man that died on this earth, so that charges may be brought against each man not by the nation of Israel, unto whom the written Torah was entrusted with to bring charges against sinners, but from God, for it is written, “the dead were judged according to their works”, yet only those who stopped sinning and had their prior sins atoned for by the shedding of blood will be justified, both before the Messiah who had knowledge of atonement by the blood of animals, and after the Messiah, who have knowledge of atonement by his own blood, hence “blessed is he whose sin is covered”, yet as opposed to those who previously shed the blood of animals to atone for their own sins, the blood of the Messiah not only atones for sin but also ends sin, for through obedience and belief in him comes the airflow of God, which circumcises the heart by cutting away sin in the inward man, and thus, he becomes “freed from sin” and “dead to sin” and “perfected”, which is why it is impossible for anyone “born of God” in this way to sin, which is therefore the “end of sin” unto those who receive this free gift, which is why the Messiah taught, “be perfect” and “sin no more”, for true perfection has come through the new covenant of the Messiah, by the work of the airflow, which is why those who are under airflow and have been set free from sin are no longer under a Torah of sin and death, because they are no longer under sin, for the power of sin is the Torah and the sing of death is sin, whereas under the covenant of Abraham, which was established with, “be perfect that I may establish my covenant between me and you”, and under the covenant of Moses, which was established with, “cursed is he who does not put the words of this Torah into practice”, were based on the effort of man to rule over the sin in their inward man, and some were able to walk perfectly and rule over the sin in their inward man when they began to walk in obedience of God, like Abraham, who was previously an idolater before he was called by God, and some were able to walk almost perfectly, like David, who sinned twice, in the matter of Uriah the Hittite and the census,

Everyone who sins also commits torahlessness. Sin is torahlessness.

1 John 3:4

Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned,
for sin indeed was in the world before the Torah was given, but sin is not charged where there is no Torah. Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

Romans 5:12-14

For the Torah brings wrath, but where there is no Torah there is no transgression. That is why it depends on belief, in order that the promise may rest on favor and be guaranteed to all his offspring, not only to the adherent of the Torah but also to the one who shares the belief of Abraham, who is the father of us all, as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”, in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.

Romans 4:15-17

Why then the Torah? It was added on account of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was put in place through angels by an intermediary.

Galatians 3:19

What then shall we say? That the Torah is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the Torah, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the Torah had not said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the Torah, sin lies dead. I was once alive apart from the Torah, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it put me to death. So then, the Torah is set-apart, and the commandment is set-apart, righteous, and good. Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! In order that sin might be shown to be sin, which through what is good worked out death to me, so that it might become sinful beyond measure, sin through the commandment. For we know that the Torah is aeolian, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.

Romans 7:7-14

…since through the Torah comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:20

Do we, then, nullify the Torah by this belief? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the Torah.

Romans 3:31

Blessed are those whose way is perfect, who walk in the Torah of the Master!

Psalm 119:1

For I delight in the Torah of God, in my inward man

Romans 7:22

if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the Torah; if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the Torah the embodiment of knowledge and truth

Romans 2:18-20

The Torah of the Master is perfect…

But he did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, for the king’s command was abhorrent to Joab. But God was displeased with this thing, and he struck Israel. And David said to God, “I have sinned greatly in that I have done this thing. But now, please take away the torahlessness of your servant, for I have acted very foolishly.”

1 Chronicles 21:5-8

the Master said to Moses, “When you take the census of the sons of Israel to number them, then each shall give a payment for his life to the Master when you number them, that there be no plague among them when you number them. Each one who is numbered in the census shall give this: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary, the shekel is twenty gerahs, half a shekel as a contribution to the Master. Everyone who is numbered in the census, from twenty years old and upward, shall give the contribution of the Master. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half shekel, when you give the contribution of the Master to make atonement for yourselves. You shall take the atonement money from the sons of Israel and shall give it for the service of the Tent of Meeting, that it may bring the sons of Israel a remembrance before the Master, to make atonement for yourselves.”

Daniel 9:24-25

For if the blood of male goats and bulls and the ashes of a cow sprinkled on those who are unclean set them apart and and made clean their flesh, how much more will the blood of the Messiah, who through the aeonial airflow offered himself without blemish to God, make clean our consciences from dead works to worship the living God.

Hebrews 9:13-14

for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the aeons to do away away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

1 Peter 1:2

Don’t be astonished that I told you, ‘All of you must be born from above.’ The airflow blows where it wants to. You hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. That’s the way it is with everyone who is born of the airflow.

But when favor is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the the Master. the Master, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them. the Master, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
