Everything God made in the beginning of creation was “very good”,
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
Genesis 1:31
Which included the food he created for man, which were plants yielding seed, such as wheat, and trees yielding seed in its fruit, such as apples,
And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
Genesis 1:29
And because the designer of this food was God is why the body of man not only has excellent function eating fruits and vegetables, but also looks better, which is why the prophet Daniel refused to eat the the delicacies of the king, knowing that the food made by God was superior than the food made by man,
The king assigned them a daily portion of the delicacies that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king. Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego. But Daniel resolved that he would not make himself unclean with the king’s delicacies, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to make himself unclean. And God gave Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who assigned your food and your drink; for why should he see that you were in worse condition than the youths who are of your own age? So you would endanger my head with the king.” Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had assigned over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, “Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance and the appearance of the youths who eat the delicacies of the king be observed by you, and deal with your servants according to what you see.” So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days. At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the delicacies of the king. So the steward took away their food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.
Daniel 1:5-16
In which case, after the transgression of Adam, and after the great flood that destroyed the earth, God established a new covenant with Noah and his family, who came out of the ark and were the only survivors of the flood, which along with the new promise to never flood the earth again God gave man a new type of food to eat, which were animals and everything else that moves, clean and unclean, which is why it is written “everything that moves shall be food for you”,
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything…
Genesis 9:3
Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, “Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth. I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the rainbow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the aeonial covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
Genesis 9:8-17
Which preceded another covenant established with the sons of Israel through Moses, through which God commanded his people to not eat unclean creatures, such as pigs, lobsters, centipedes, crows, not because unclean creatures are not healthy, or healthy, but because through the commands that forbade eating unclean creatures, God revealed a deeper truth through the design and also behaviors of each creature that was unclean,
Which symbolized the lawless through each unclean creature, in various ways, such as pigs that return to the mud and dogs that return to their vomit, which symbolize those who continue returning to their uncleanness, even if they had already heard the word of truth,
It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the set-apart command that was passed on to them. They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”
2 Peter 2:21-22
And also serpents, who use their mouths to poison their prey, which symbolize those who teach lies with their mouths, such as the Pharisees in the time of Yeshua,
You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Matthew 12:34
How is it that you fail to understand that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Matthew 16:11-12
And because the prohibition of eating unclean animals of the Torah was symbolic is why these particular commands given through the old covenant of Moses are no longer necessary to keep in the new covenant of the Messiah,
Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a feast or a new moon or a Shabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to the Messiah.
Colossians 2:16-17
Because in the new covenant of the Messiah the symbolic meaning of abstaining from unclean creatures in the old covenant is fulfilled in one simple way, not having friendships with unbelievers and the lawless without Torah, who the unclean creatures symbolize, which is why Paul in telling the Corinthians to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, he quotes “touch no unclean thing”, meaning unbelievers, which also relates to what the prophet Isaiah said regarding those who eat pigs, not those who eat pigs literally, for the prophet Isaiah was not contradicting the words of the Messiah, “it is not what goes in the body that defiles a man, but what comes out of the body”, but those who eat pigs figuratively by joining themselves with unbelievers,
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has the Messiah with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Master, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you
2 Corinthians 6:14-17
And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.
Leviticus 11:7-8
You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
James 4:4
Those who set themselves apart and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one in the midst, eating the flesh of pigs and abominations and mice, shall come to an end together, declares the Master.
Isaiah 66:17
And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” Thus he declared all foods clean.
Mark 7:18-19
And in this way, under the new covenant of the Messiah, all foods can be eaten, which goes back to what God told Noah, “everything that moves shall be food for you”, including the fruits and vegetables God given as food from the beginning before animals were also given as food,
who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is set apart by the word of God and prayer.
1 Timothy 4:3-5
As such, there is one thing that a man must not eat, and it is blood, and meat that still has blood in it, which even before the Torah was given through Moses, was forbidden by God to eat,
But flesh with the soul thereof, which is its blood, ye shall not eat.
Genesis 9:4
And wherever you live, you must not eat the blood of any bird or animal.
Leviticus 7:26
I will set my face against any Israelite or any foreigner residing among them who eats blood, and I will cut them off from the people.
Leviticus 17:10
But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water.
Deuteronomy 12:16
But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground like water.
Deuteronomy 15:23
Do not eat any meat with the blood still in it. “‘Do not practice divination or seek omens.
Leviticus 19:26
Then someone said to Saul, “Look, the men are sinning against the Master by eating meat that has blood in it.” “You have transgressed,” he said. “Roll a large stone over here at once.”
1 Samuel 14:33
Then he said, “Go out among the men and tell them, ‘Each of you bring me your cattle and sheep, and slaughter them here and eat them. Do not sin against the Master by eating meat with blood still in it.‘” So everyone brought his ox that night and slaughtered it there.
1 Samuel 14:34
And this is why the apostles repeated this very same command, to not eat blood, nor animals that were strangled, because animals that are killed by strangulation are not properly drained of their blood, which today meats that have not been properly drained of their blood are typically not classified as “kosher”, which still have blood in them, and blood sausages are cooked blood,
Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain.. from the meat of strangled animals and from blood.
Acts 15:20
You are to abstain… from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.
Acts 15:29
And one other thing that a man must not do in relation to food is eat too much, which is gluttony,
and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.
Proverbs 23:2
Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat
Proverbs 23:20
Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
Philippians 3:19
Because a man that is gluttonous is not satisfied with the food he already has, wanting more, which the Torah reveals to be sin, in a related passage concerning the Israelites craving other food over the food they already had, and complaining because of it,
The rabble with them began to crave other food, and again the Israelites started wailing and said, “If only we had meat to eat! We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. But now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!“
Numbers 11:4-6
While the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the Master was kindled against the people, and the Master struck down the people with a very great plague. Therefore the name of that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had the craving.
Numbers 11:33-34
And even though eating fruits and vegetables is healthier for the body than eating the foods made by man, which today are known as “processed foods”, what is worse for the body is eating too much, not just because it is the result of a man whose appetite cannot be satiated, which is evil in the eyes of God, but because even if a man eats a little processed food, the body will digest it and expel it, but if a man eats too much processed food, or even too much fruits and vegetables, the body becomes imbalanced, which is thus the culprit of many diseases, such as strokes, diabetes, heart attacks, and high blood pressure, in which case, the Torah reveals the volume of how much food a man should eat daily, which should be around an “omer” of food, which is around 9 cups, which is around 2 liters, which is around 2 full meals a day, preferably breakfast then dinner, thus giving the body plenty of time to digest the previous meal before eating a new meal, or even better, one big meal a day, which is excellent for the body, which has been observed in studies of “intermittent fasting”,
This is what the Master has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.’” And the people of Israel did so. They gathered, some more, some less. But when they measured it with an omer, whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat.
Exodus 16:16-18
Which in the world today, there exists a second form of gluttony aside from the usual form of gluttony of someone who simply cannot satiate his appetite, which can be evidenced by fatness of the body, and that second form of gluttony is eating too much to get big to conform to an image of what man considers beautiful, “big and muscular”, which today is seen by bodybuilders and many who over eat to serve an obsession they have with making their bodies appear a certain way, which is also evil in the eyes of God, because it feeds the body more food than it was designed and intended to consume, which is why many bodybuilders have various digestive diseases, such as in their kidneys and livers,
And this was one of the evils of Sodom, which was gluttony, which was destroyed by God because of their lawlessness,
Now this was the lawlessness of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.
Ezekiel 16:49
Then the Master rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Master out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.
Genesis 19:24-25
